Hi, I'm Dhanushka Wellappuli, and I’ve had nearly 15 years of experience working as a Network Administrator, Graphic Designer, and Web Developer.
My journey started after I completed schools studies at President College, Homagama.
I then studied network security, network administration, graphic design,
and web design, which set me up for an exciting career that has taken me across the Middle East and back to Sri Lanka.
My first overseas job was as an IT Technician at Joannou & Paraskeveides LTD in Saudi Arabia. I spent five years there handling everything from
troubleshooting and repairs to implementing new networks and even doing some graphic design work.
It was a great experience that helped me develop In 2013, I joined Saudi Arabian Trading Company (SATCO) as a Network Administrator. I was responsible for the IT operations at a large facility called the Madeen Infacture Facility, which housed over 3,000 residents. I was the go-to person for all IT-related tasks, from troubleshooting to network management, and it was a challenging but rewarding role. In 2014, I was offered a position with my former company, J&P W.L.L, in Qatar as an IT Administrator. I managed 13 remote sites and completely restructured the head office network. My role involved providing support and ensuring that everything ran smoothly across all the sites.
Then in 2016, I became the IT Head for Golden Keys Group in Qatar. I was responsible for setting up networks for three new offices, configuring
servers, domain, DNS, firewalls, and handling all IT-related matters. On top of that, I managed multimedia designs, video editing, and printing. This
role really allowed me to combine my IT skills with my passion for design.
In 2022, I moved back to Sri Lanka to work with Fara Holdings PVT LTD. Here, I managed the head office’s network, servers, DNS, firewalls,
and devices. I also
continued handling multimedia designs and prints, ensuring the company’s IT infrastructure and creative needs were well taken care of.
Throughout my career, I’ve managed mail servers, websites, and also taken on freelance work in web and graphic design. Out of love
